BAS Castings Ltd supply Cast Iron materials that conform to the most demanding specifications

We are pleased to offer technical advice on Cast Iron chemistry and achievable mechanical properties taking account of service environment, casting geometry and section size.

Close analytical control of the Iron chemistry allows us to develop "special" grades of material for applications requiring mechanical and chemical properties not covered by general, national and Cast Iron international specifications.

Full material traceability is offered, we utilise external NAMAS approved laboratories for mechanical testing that are totally independent from our business. The chemical analysis of our Cast Iron metals is checked by our technicians utalising a state of the art 23 Channel Spectrometer.

All SG Iron melts are checked by ultrasonic nodularity testing in-house prior to release. This is a very accurate and comprehensive way of checking the material structure by NDE.
